Shad Top Cases
Welcome to our Shad top case (Trunk) department. Essentially a top case is a trunk. A top case is just another name for it.
Shad makes a variety of these top cases. The main differences between each is their size. For quick reference the model names indicate the liter capacity. So the SH-26 is the smallest, while the SH-50 is the largest.
In addition, some of the larger cases such as the SH-46 and SH-50 can accommodate Shads optional brake light. All of these top cases can be fitted with an optional backrest. Although it should be noted that the SH-50 comes with a backrest.
As for how these mount to your motorcycle luggage rack, you have the following choices:
If you already have a luggage rack, you can use the standard bottom (mounting bracket) that comes with each top case. This standard bottom will allow you to attach the top case to "most" luggage racks.
Or you can purchase a Shad Top Master (luggage rack). You'll have to visit our Shad Top Master department to see if they make one for your motorcycle.
Or visit our motorcycle luggage rack department to find a luggage rack. Remember that each top case comes with a standard bottom that will allow you to mount it to "most" luggage racks.
Note that if you have a backrest or sissy bar, you'll have to consider whether that will interfere with the top case lid opening. You'll need enough space between the case and the backrest or sissy bar for the lid to swing open.
